A high bounce rate indicates that viewers are leaving your site in favor of other websites in your niche. You are losing greatly in terms of customer entertainment. It is recommended that you keep your bounce rate under 40% your business will do well.

1.      Poor quality content: The main reason that leads to a high bounce rate is the fact that viewers aren’t satisfied by the content posted. The content may not be relevant to the keywords they have been searching for.

2.      Penalty in your Ranking: The rank of your website is created by Google in relation to the amount of time viewers have spent on your site and the bounce rate. A high bounce rate coupled with a low amount of time spent by one person when visiting your site will drop your site from its current position down 30-40 spots.

3.      You are leaking cash: Having a high bounce rate will shake the health of your business. This fact is explained as each viewer spends less and less time on your page and once he or she leaves they don’t find your content interesting enough to return. You will not be able to sell if your business keeps bleeding money. You should look to lower your bounce rate.

Market competition is tight these days and if you want to remain active in this business you should consider making adjustments. Agreeable online content which the viewer’s approve is one step towards the desired direction. Focus on informing your public instead of promoting your products; they will promote themselves in time. Keep the material presented brief, clear and to the point.
